Overview

Project Summary

Hospitality

A 30th-floor cocktail lounge in Midtown Manhattan with sweeping views of the Hudson and Empire State Building, designed to feel intimate at full capacity.

Hidden absorption integrated into the beamed ceiling and drapery details controls reverberation against the hard glass perimeter without competing with the architecture.

A discreet zoned audio system supports cocktail service through DJ-driven late-night programming on the same infrastructure.

What we did

Lounge acousticsCeiling integrationZoned audioDrapery acousticsAV systems

01

Studied the envelope

Mapped the glass, beam, and finish conditions that drive the reverberant character of the lounge.

02

Hid the treatment

Engineered absorption into the ceiling beams and drapery so the views and architecture stay center stage.

03

Zoned the audio

Designed zones and presets that move the room from early cocktail service into late-night programming.

04

Tuned in service

Adjusted the system with the lounge in operation to verify coverage and clarity.
