President
David brings decades of audio industry experience in acoustical consulting and sound design—from live systems for Broadway and concert tours to high-profile architectural projects. A Lehigh University Architecture graduate, his work spans sound and vibration isolation, acoustical modeling, and systems optimization, with credits including Sony Music Studios and NYU's Dolan Studios, plus the Pro AV Spotlight Award. He is a member of AES, ASA, and INCE.
Senior Acoustical Engineer
A Princeton graduate with a foundation in architecture, audio engineering, and software development, Sam delivers exceptional acoustic solutions through advanced modeling, precise measurement, and creative problem solving. He joined Criterion in 2021 after starting his career at Acoustic Distinctions in 2013. Notable projects include Apple Music Broadcast Studios, Martin Scorsese's Sikelia Productions screening room, and the Saturday Night Live audio mix room for NBC.
Senior Acoustical Engineer
With a Bachelor's in Architecture and hands-on construction experience, Sharan pursued the intersection of music and architecture through the acoustics program at The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Following a tenure at Walters-Storyk Design Group, he joined Criterion in 2022. He blends room shaping, space planning, acoustic modeling, and construction detailing to balance architectural intent with acoustic performance.
Digital Media Specialist
Nicolas holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and brings a versatile background in digital media and visual communication. Focused on branding and digital strategy, he creates cohesive marketing campaigns and engaging online experiences that elevate the firm across print, web, and social platforms.
Office Manager & Accounting
Taryn keeps our operations organized and efficient—managing payroll, maintaining office procedures, handling internal correspondence, and supporting the team across a wide range of administrative tasks. Her organization and reliability are essential to our day-to-day success.
