TAO Mohegan Sun

Project Summary
Overview
Criterion Acoustics contributed significantly to the transformation of TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge, an $8 million, 11,750 sq. ft. high-end dining destination at Mohegan Sun. Collaborating with the Rockwell Group's visionary design team, we provided specialized acoustical design services to enhance the sensory experience of the space.
Our scope encompassed a comprehensive renovation of the front-of-house areas, including the dramatic entry tunnel, main dining room featuring a 16-foot Quan Yin statue, four private dining areas with a waterfall portal, the Ink Lounge, sushi bar, and updated guest amenities. By integrating advanced acoustical strategies, we ensured a refined auditory environment that harmonizes with the striking visual elements, such as reclaimed Legacy Redwood paneling and the live Koi pond.
The result is a dining atmosphere where architecture, sound, and lighting come together seamlessly to offer a memorable and immersive experience. Criterion Acoustics' innovative approach helped shape TAO's vision of a captivating and intimate culinary destination.
