UNLV Kirk Kerkorian Med School

UNLV Kirk Kerkorian Med School

Criterion Acoustics provided comprehensive acoustical consulting services for the newly completed Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building (MEB) at the UNLV School of Medicine. As the flagship facility in the Las Vegas Medical District, this 135,000-square-foot, five-story structure represents the school’s first permanent home and a cornerstone of Southern Nevada’s academic health infrastructure.

Working in collaboration with TSK Architects and CO Architects, our team ensured optimal acoustic performance across a variety of learning and clinical environments—including simulation suites, standardized patient rooms, virtual anatomy classrooms, and the large-scale open forum. Special attention was given to maintaining acoustic comfort and clarity in flexible teaching spaces and wellness-centered student areas.

Certified LEED Silver, the MEB not only meets rigorous environmental standards but also supports innovative medical pedagogy through its technologically advanced and acoustically balanced design. Criterion Acoustics is proud to have contributed to this state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a foundational space for future generations of medical professionals.
