Fontainebleau Las Vegas redefines luxury with an expansive resort offering unparalleled accommodations, fine dining, nightlife, casinos, spas, boutique retail, and a 14,000-square-foot fitness center. Spanning 67 stories with 3,644 rooms, Fontainebleau is the tallest occupiable building in Nevada. It boasts acres of pools and cabanas, 550,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, and live entertainment, catering to a wide variety of occasions and moods. This premier resort sets a new standard for indulgence and elegance on the Las Vegas Strip.
The project, a 16-year endeavor that began in 2007, was spearheaded by Fontainebleau Development. Restarting in 2021, the initiative required seamless collaboration between design and construction teams, with Criterion Acoustics (CA) joining a prestigious roster of architects including Bergman Walls & Associates, Hamilton Anderson Associates, and Paul Steelman Design Group. General contracting was managed by W.A. Richardson, with project oversight provided by FBDEV.
Criterion Acoustics played a pivotal role in addressing the complex acoustic needs of this expansive development. The firm provided expertise in internal room acoustics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) noise control, sound isolation engineering, and structureborne noise and vibration control. These efforts ensured that the resort’s diverse spaces maintain an exceptional auditory experience, balancing the high-energy demands of a luxury resort with the need for tranquil and intimate environments.
The completion of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, despite years of challenges and interruptions, stands as a testament to the perseverance, vision, and collaborative effort of all involved. As a world-renowned brand, Fontainebleau delivers a world-class experience, offering something for everyone and solidifying its place as one of the largest and most luxurious resorts in Las Vegas.
