Criterion Acoustics Enhances Brooklyn Technical High School Auditorium with Professional A/V Systems Design
Transforming Education: Criterion Acoustics Upgrades Brooklyn Tech’s Auditorium into a State-of-the-Art Performance Space for Future Innovators
Criterion Acoustics (CA) has redefined the audio-visual experience at Brooklyn Technical High School’s iconic auditorium, elevating it to professional performance standards with a sophisticated A/V system and detailed construction documentation, including electrical and conduit engineering. As the second-largest public auditorium in New York City—surpassed only by Radio City Music Hall—Brooklyn Tech presented CA with a distinctive set of challenges.
Using advanced computer modeling, CA engineered a sound system that ensures consistent loudspeaker coverage across all seating areas while minimizing sound reflections from the side walls for optimal audio clarity. In partnership with Masque Sound, CA delivered a robust, high-quality A/V and presentation system that gives Brooklyn Tech students hands-on experience with industry-standard technology.
Additionally, CA programmed and calibrated the Peavey Media Matrix DSP, guaranteeing that every component of the system delivers professional-level sound quality and functionality.
This significant upgrade transforms Brooklyn Technical High School’s auditorium into an unparalleled educational resource, empowering students to engage with top-tier equipment and gain real-world audio-visual skills.
